Earlier today, it appeared that HBO dropped the disgusting mockumentary, Leaving Neverland. As reported by radio station, 93.9 WKYS, Leaving Neverland was quietly removed from the cable network.

“According to reports, the network was supposed to air Leaving Neverland until September but now the doc is ending this week.”

The radio station also reported that Oprah Winfrey’s YouTube channel is now scrubbed of her interviews with the less than credible accusers Wade Robeson and James Safechuck.

Quentin Schaffer, HBO’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, released a statement to HipHopDX.com and Okayplayer.com refuting the story:

“Leaving Neverland remains on the HBO linear channel through April 16th after which it will continue to be available on HBO NOW and HBO GO,” the network told DX. “The documentary is already the second most watched on HBO in the past ten years with 7.5 million viewers for Part 1.”

Uh, not to parse hairs here, but HBO was supposed to run Lying on Neverland until September. It was removed. Now they’re trying to do clean up by airing it on their streaming services and not HBO Main.
